Premium Coco Chips: Sustainably sourced coco chips are used to provide an essential balance of both water and nutrient retention, alongside excellent aeration and drainage due to their chunky texture while simultaneously maintaining a neutral pH level.

High-Quality Bark: Quality bark pieces are added for excellent drainage and hold the perfect amount of moisture to support strong and healthy root growth.

Large-Grade Perlite: Extremely lightweight porous volcanic glass plays a crucial role in creating essential air pockets that significantly promote healthy root development and effectively helps to prevent soil compaction over time.

Coco Peat: Fine-grade coco product increases the porosity of the mix to help keep it loose and airy while providing excellent water and nutrient retention to support healthy plant growth.

Horticultural Charcoal: Enhances aeration and drainage, while also absorbing excess minerals and features antibacterial and antimicrobial properties, all of which serve to support the overall health and vitality of your beloved plants.

Our Large bag will enable you to pot up multiple plants, for example:

• 7x 10cm pots or

• 3x 14cm pots or

• 1x 20cm pot

Our Small bag will fill:

• 2x 10cm pots or

• 3/4 of a 14cm pot

If you are used to caring for plants in store-bought general potting soil, you may need to adjust your plant care routine slightly. Regular potting soil without any amendments, will tend to feel heavier than our light, airy mix. So if you’re used to judging when to water by feeling the weight of the pot, please keep this in mind.

You may also find that you need to water slightly more often than your plants in straight potting soil. So please keep a close eye on things until you get used to caring for your plants in their new potting mix.

TIP 1:

A great way to make your plant care routine much easier is to pot your plants in clear plastic nursery pots. This will allow you to see exactly how moist or dry the mix is and allow you to judge when your plant needs watering an absolute breeze.

TIP 2:

Another great tip we recommend while getting used to your new potting mix is to pot up a small ‘sacrificial plant’, something generally forgiving, sturdy and inexpensive like a Pothos. If you’re unsure of the weight or look of your mix and whether your plant needs watering, remove this plant from its pot and FEEL the mix. If it is still damp and sticking to your fingers then it’s not ready for watering. Place the plant back in it’s pot and check again in a few days time. This hands-on approach will help you understand the mix better and build your confidence in caring for your plants.
